When real life turns into comedy

The NSA and GCHQ intercept and record all communications in order to protect ‘the people’ from evil terrorists.

The Guardian reveals that these agencies are intercepting the communications of players in games like World of Warcraft and Second Life.

Way to go guys! There are bound to be several Al-Qaeda cells in there. Don’t forget Counterstrike. Lots of terrorists there and they usually win most of the rounds….

  1. Not a bad idea if you think about it. Assemble a team, start up an expensive program, throw in a few million dollars of tax money and start hunting suicide elves. If they subcontract this, they might catch some extremist trolls and everyone can earn a buck on this wonderful event.

There are so many (more practical) ways for terrorists to communicate. If they already resorted to eavesdropping on Orgs and dragons in 2008, then they without doubt already snoop on every single social media, search engine and could services way before.

It seems that, at some point, they ran out of ideas to justify the expenditure for the war on terror. LOL

    1. Well I did my part. I used to play as a counter-terrorist on Counterstrike and I was quite good at defeating the evil terrorist’s team.

But now that I think about it maybe some of the worst players were NSA, GCHQ ‘analysts’. Instead of covering their teammates they were probably checking our messages…
